В настоящее время доля детей в общей структуре травмы органа зрения находится в диапазоне 10−15%. В развитых странах травма является ведущей причиной монокулярной слепоты у детей. Как правило, при травме чаще страдают мальчики (диапазон 60−70%), тяжелые травмы встречаются редко, наиболее частым типом повреждения органа зрения является закрытая травма глаза. Большинство травм носят случайный характер и происходят дома в быту (50−60%), на открытом воздухе (20−35%), в школе (1−5%), при занятиях спортом (1−3%). При открытой травме глаза у детей повреждения чаще всего локализуются в зоне I (роговица), причем эта особенность наблюдается в развитых и развивающихся странах. Открытая травма глаза у детей ассоциирована с высоким риском ранних и поздних осложнений и неблагоприятным исходом. Эффективным способом первичной профилактики открытой травмы глаза у детей является широкое внедрение защитных очков в спорте и при активных видах отдыха. Основными проблемами вторичной профилактики осложнений при открытой травме глаза является отсутствие доступности специализированной помощи в странах с ограниченными ресурсами здравоохранения и ограниченная информированность родителей травмированных детей о необходимости быстрого оказания помощи.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Here we aimed to analyse the prevalence, clinical  course, and current approaches to the prevention and treatment of open globe injury in children as well as its complications: hyphema, retinal detachment, traumatic uveitis, and endophthalmitis. Currently, children are responsible for the 10-15% of open globe injuries. In developed countries, open globe injury is the leading cause of monocular blindness in children. Open globe injury mainly affects boys (60−70% cases), yet severe injuries are rare, and closed globe injury is the most common type of eye injury. Most injuries are accidental and occur at home in daily life (50−60%), outdoors (20−35%), at school (1−5%), or while playing sports (1−3%). Open globe injury most often affects cornea and is associated with a high risk of early and late complications and poor outcomes. Wearing of protective glasses during sports and active recreation is recognised as an efficient tool for primary prevention of open globe injury in children.
